Review Criteria for Colon Cleansing Products
These are the criteria that I look for when reviewing each colon cleanse product.
Introduction
I try to provide an overview of the product itself—when it was released, some brief information about the company and my initial thoughts on the product.
Product Highlights
This is a bulleted list of the top features of the colon cleanse product being reviewed. Many times they are the claims made by the manufacturer.
Formula Analysis
In this section I evaluate the product based on its Key Active Ingredients.. I check the formula to see whether it is synthetic or natural; doctor formulated or approved. I am very familiar with the ingredients used in colon cleanse products through extensive reasearch; and on the basis of such research validates whether the ingredients are safe to use or not, and whether it is a systemic or non-systemic formula. This is important to know before using any product as most of the ingredients used in colon cleansers are not FDA approved, except for psyllium husk.
Usage
I describe product usage in this section—how much, how long; whether it is convenient to use with easy to understand instructions. Some products require dietary modifications so I include that information as well. It helps to know whether there any warning on the product labels, contra indications. Oddly some labels don’t even have directions on how to use the product, while others supply complete documentation with pictorial or even video directions!
Pricing and Promotional Information
I explain current product pricing, promotion and return policy of the manufacturer. I include relevant information from the Terms and Conditions found on the product website, which most customers tend to neglect reading. It is important to read through this as it will explain whether there are any hidden fees involved; whether there are continual shipments (auto shipment programs)
Additional Product Insight
Any information about the product I could not mention above, I mentioned here. This includes any controversies over the product, side effects reported by users and the number of Scam/Ripoff reports that have been filed.
I also use this section to share additional benefits that the product may have such as assisting in the detoxification of other eliminatory organs, whether it provides nutritional colon maintenance support.
Conclusion
In this section I summarize the major points about the product—the good and the bad. Lastly, you’ll also find some of my hard work in the form of the number of good and bad reviews found. Lastly, I will quantify the product by including a gold star rating.
